Oncares Home Care and Nursing Services • January 19, 2024

At Oncares Home and Nursing Services, our commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services is unwavering. We are thrilled to announce our participation in the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN), a groundbreaking initiative by Ontario Health. This program is not just about recruiting nurses; it's about investing in the future of healthcare, fostering professional growth, and ensuring the well-being of both our nurses and the communities we serve.

What is CCPN?

The CCPN is an initiative designed to support healthcare facilities in Ontario by providing incentives to registered nurses. In collaboration with HealthForceOntario, the CCPN offers a substantial grant of $25,000 to eligible nurses who commit to a two-year full-time role with ONCARES. This program aims to address the shortage of healthcare professionals, enhance the quality of patient care, and create a sustainable workforce for the future.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the CCPN grant, nurses must meet the following criteria:

- Hold a Certificate of Registration in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario.

- Be a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), or Nurse Practitioner (NP).

- Not have been employed as a nurse in Ontario in the six months prior to being hired.

- Commence employment no later than March 31, 2024.

- Commit to a 24-month full-time work schedule with ONCARES.

- Not simultaneously receive funds from the Ministry of Health for the Tuition Support Program for Nurses.

The Benefits for Nurses

This program is not just about financial incentives; it's about creating a supportive and rewarding environment for our nurses. The $25,000 grant is not only a token of appreciation but a recognition of the valuable contribution nurses make to the healthcare system. By participating in CCPN, nurses will have the opportunity to:

- Grow professionally within a dynamic and supportive healthcare organization.

- Contribute to the well-being of the community by delivering exceptional patient care.

- Benefit from a stable and fulfilling career with ONCARES.

How to Apply

Interested nurses can find more information about the CCPN on the HealthForceOntario website or reach out to our Human Resources department at hr@oncares.ca. We encourage aspiring nurses to take advantage of this unique opportunity to embark on a fulfilling career journey with Oncares Home and Nursing Services.
